Six held for forging papers | Bangkok Post: news

Pol Maj Gen Surachet Hakphan, the division commander, yesterday said the six -- four men and two women -- were also connected to a gang that sold illegal weapons, drugs, and vehicles via social media and apps nationwide. Their ill-gotten gains had been laundered through other businesses, Pol Maj Gen Surachet added. Apart from fake education documents, they also allegedly produced and sold fake ID cards used by police officers, as well as fake licences to acquire vehicles online. Pol Maj Gen Surachet said the six were also part of a gang that used social media to sell illicit firearms, ammunition, drugs, and stolen, smuggled and untaxed vehicles nationwide. Pol Maj Gen Surachet also said those who had been hired to open bank accounts for the group could face prosecution.
